John Miller
John Miller has been involved with CrossFit for over 11 years. He started coaching around 4 years ago when his then-coach, dear friend, and training partner passed. Feeling a void, he took his CF-L1 a month later and has been coaching ever since. He loves encouraging members to push past what they think they are capable of and feels that everyone has a day ONE. When members walk through the door, John aims for them to feel accomplished by the time they leave. Each day brings new challenges, and John loves seeing the progress that comes from the workouts. He knows that by the end of each class, everyone will have experienced a great workout and engaged in challenging activities alongside others, all in the pursuit of becoming healthier. John enjoys spending time with his wife, Amanda, and their daughters, Lily (8) and Jolene (5). Most afternoons, you can find them all at the gym, coaching, training, and playfully hanging from the pull-up bars like monkeys. He firmly believes that children will imitate what you do, so it’s important to lead by example. Show your children how to be selflessly selfish by taking ownership of your health and fitness!
Steve MaSt
Steve Mast has been involved with CrossFit for a little over 2 years. In that time frame, he has been inspired to become a coach after experiencing the incredible impact CrossFit had on his own life. He saw firsthand how the right support, accountability, and consistent effort could lead to physical and mental transformation. After losing over 120 lbs and building new strength, he realized the power of community and coaching in achieving success. This motivated Steve to become a coach, so that he can help others reach their goals, grow stronger, and discover their potential. His favorite part of coaching is helping individuals push past their limits, achieve goals they never thought possible, and grow in confidence. When Steve is not at the gym, he loves spending quality time with his wife, Linda, and their four kids. Steve believes that Stormbound CrossFit is not just about fitness – it’s about building confidence, discipline, and camaraderie that extends far beyond the gym.

Outside of the gym, Autumn enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young children.
Kyle Vaughn
Meet Kyle Vaughn, he has been involved with CrossFit for two years and knew he wanted to become a coach as soon as the opportunity arose. Kyle enjoys that CrossFit offers something different every day. Although the workouts can be intense, everyone in the community supports each other. He appreciates the atmosphere and community at Stormbound CrossFit and wants everyone to know that he, too, was once a beginner. On his first day, he felt nervous and wondered if he would fit in. He later realized the hardest step is simply walking through the doors on your first day. Kyle encourages everyone to come in and focus on improving one day at a time. Outside of the gym, Kyle loves spending time with his wife and their four children. Although life is busy with shuttling his kids to practices and games, he loves to help others push themselves to achieve new PRs or complete just one more rep during a workout.

Heidi McClain
Heidi McClain has been coaching CrossFit for over 11 years and has been part of the community for more than 13 years. She has always been active in sports like softball, running, and hiking. Initially, it was her kids who introduced her to CrossFit, but as they began to move out, Heidi found herself dedicating even more energy to her CrossFit journey. She appreciates that both seasoned athletes and beginners can participate in the same workout tailored to their skill levels, ensuring everyone gets an effective workout. As an avid learner, Heidi decided to take the CrossFit Level 1 Course and has since earned her Level 2 Certification. She enjoys the constant challenge of perfecting new skills, the friendships she has formed, and the supportive community that comes with the gym atmosphere. Most importantly, movement has proven to be the best medicine for her rheumatoid arthritis. Heidi believes that if you come in, be present, and work hard, you will be glad you did! Outside of CrossFit, she loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing pickleball, and getting involved at church. Heidi welcomes newcomers, as her favorite aspect of being a CrossFit coach is helping others learn to move better and witnessing them achieve physical accomplishments they once thought impossible.
